Leaf Collection | 2024

Each autumn the City of Ashland works with residents to collect fallen leaves from your curb to create clean and safe neighborhood streets in preparation for the winter season. The dates given may need to be adjusted depending upon weather conditions and the volume of leaves to collect.

Guidelines

• All leaves must be raked to the curb or berm by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Do not place leaves in the street or ditches. Doing so clogs storm sewers and creates dangerous traffic conditions.

• Leaves must be placed at least 3 feet away from obstructions, including trees, signs, and fire hydrants.

Ensure vehicles are not parked near leaf piles to allow for proper collection.

Only leaves should be included in piles—no rocks, branches, yard waste, or other debris.

Other Yard Disposal Options

For disposal of additional yard waste items, including grass, flowers, mulch, twigs, or brush trimmings, residents have two options:

• Place yard waste in a designated paper yard waste bag with a yard waste sticker, and contact the City Services Department at 419-289-9791 to schedule a pickup.

• Yard waste bags may also be dropped off at the Sanitation Department, located at 1674 Cleveland Ave, on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
